Grafton Regis is a small village located on the main A508 midway between Milton Keynes and Northampton, nearest Motorway is the M1 Junction 15.
Alan Drake one of the owners, is also the main Chef, ensuring quality food at all times, prepared with his team, Karen, Kathy, & Jolene.
The Drake Family purchased the freehold on the White Hart Grafton Regis on December 30th 1996 after running The Nags Head in Wollaston for almost 6 years, prior to that Les and Joan ran the Bakers Arms in Kettering, having taken that on when the Alexandra Arms in Kettering fell down (long story, best told over a drink or two) Les had been associated with the trade since he was a very young child, he was serving drinks in his parents pub at 15. Alan their eldest son decided at the same time they took on their first pub to study to be a Chef, after 2 years full time at college, he came onboard at The Alexandra Arms, which went on to be a very successful eating pub. It was their they set up a Father and Son partnership, going on to take on a very big pub tenancy, The Nags Head in Wollaston, after 6 years at The Nags Head there they decided to look for something a little smaller, more manageable, but most of all their own, putting all their eggs in one basket the opportunity to purchase the Freehold of The White Hart came up. With a lot of hard work, it worked and now is a very successful eating establishment. Les and Joan retired in September 2008. The pub is now run by, Alan who takes charge of the food side of things and Andy, who runs the front of house. We were awarded by Green King brewery the title of "Catering Pub of the Year" winning first place from over 700 outlets!!! We are constantly trying to improve on what we have, and are always open to coments.........
